"Great meals are one of life’s true delights. However, dining in even the best of restaurants is so often disappointing: long wait; poor table location; noisy and/or cold and drafty; so-so service and fear of the consequences of having a glass of wine or two. Good fortune has allowed my husband and me to live with one of the best views in all Seattle from our home, therefore take-out meals are a frequent choice.
Jay offers the best of both worlds. His timing was perfect, not just the arrival, but the pacing of the dinner. We felt neither anxious nor rushed. His meal was custom, extraordinarily delicious, and impeccably prepared and served. The final touch – no evidence of his having been in our home, except the smile on our faces. It was a magnificent meal, prepared by a magnificent Chef, eaten in the comfort of our magnificent home! "My husband, daughter and I enjoyed a meal prepared in our home by Chef Jay for my husband's 42nd birthday. The experience from beginning to end was incredibly enjoyable, from meal planning to execution. Jay was very professional and worked with me to find a menu that worked for the whole family, even my 8 year old daughter. The menu included an incredible carrot ginger soup, pan-seared halibut served with a saffron cream and accompanied by whipped mashed potatoes and seasonal vegetables. Jay prepared the meal for us in a cooking lesson style which was very unique and fun for the family. My husband could not say enough good things about the experience. He prefers to celebrate his birthday among family and without much fuss, so this was a perfect way to make his day special without a big party and as a change of pace from going out to a restaurant. He really enjoyed conversing with Jay and learning new cooking techniques as well as having leftovers the next day! My daughter especially loved the flaming bananas foster for dessert. Jay was incredibly knowledgeable and very personable. The experience was a real treat and I highly recommend Jay."

"For Valentines Day this year, my husband and I had Jay over to cook a delightful romantic seafood dinner. The idea stemmed from another couple I know who had Jay cook for their anniversary a few years ago. As much to their satisfaction they were overwhelmed with the flavors and unique style Jay brought to their home that evening. I was excited to learn that his schedule was open for that specific day, and I anticipated his arrival.
With a full five course meal, of excellence, from the Crab Bisque to the mouth watering Atlantic Lobster he prepared, topped off with a delicious dessert. Jay was a delight to have in our home on such a special occasion. Referred to us for his talents and passion for cooking, we were not at all disappointed. In fact it was more to remember then we had expected.
I must say it was our first time having a Chef come to our home, and certainly not the last occasion or event we hope to be blessed with Jay cooking up some delightful food. The one quote I can remember my husband saying to me was " I wish we could have him cook for us everyday". Thank you for making our day very special Jay. The evening was wonderful. "I hired Chef Jay to cook a very special meal for a 40th birthday party. I told him what kind of cuisine I was looking for and he provided me with a fantastic menu that satisfied many taste buds. He arrived at my home and spent about 6 hours cooking the meal and when he left, the kitchen was much cleaner than when he arrived!
He also suggested some wine to pair with the meal. I had a request for an unusual dessert that he also made happen. My guests were greeted by the smells of little Italy and they could not wait to eat.
The presentation was beautifully displayed as family style and did not feel like a catered event. He was very professional, but also very personal as we talked several times prior to the event to ensure that everything was to my liking. He also offered to help me with any other details for the event, which went above and beyond what I expected from him. Overall my experience with Chef Jay was excellent and I would definitely hire him again for an event."
